Job Description

Our client an established law firm, situated in Farnborough are looking to recruit a residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary on a full time basis.

The Role

• To prepare correspondence and documents through audio-typing and case management system
• To operate the clients IT system
• To attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care
• To receive payments both to office and client accounts and make payments from office and client accounts completing paperwork correctly for such transactions
• Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch
• To complete searches, land registry searches and SDLT applications
• To administer daily filing, keep files in neat order according to the fee earner’s instructions and operate the ‘bring forward’ system
• To provide support to others as required
• To provide guidance to junior and temporary secretaries when required to do so
• To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of the firm’s and clients documentation and information

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal secretary, with a background in the conveyancing sector. My client is also ideally looking for somebody who has wills and probate experience; this would be beneficial but not essential.
